5 flights, 10 buses, 2 trains, 10 scoops of gelato, 1500 pictures later...

And we're only halfway there!
moon in Levanto, Italy (and probably the same in Kinnelon, NJ) :)

It has been an amazing 9 days of spring break so far!  So many memories and experiences...AND pictures.  I just put some highlights of each place with a lot of pictures of each place...the pictures speak for themselves, and the highlights, well, they're the highlights :)

this face misses YOU!

Cinque Terre

-hostel roommates who were 70 year old French women, who, one night, stayed up significantly later than us
-our Sicilian gelato man who we frequented for gelato frequently :)
-SO MANY STARS visible on the Levanto beach
-pizza, ½ L red wine, a scoop of mint and a scoop of dark chocolate gelato for 8.5 Euro. Does it get any better?
-wearing only a CARDIGAN and JEANS at night…hello southern Europe!
-HOT SUNSHINE EVERY DAY
-breathtaking hike from Levanto to Monterosso along the cliff edges
-fresh strawberries from the market in Monterosso
-climbing over fences and through construction sites with a German couple when we wouldn’t take “path is closed” as a final answer
-adding 5.5 hours of additional walking time to our journey due to said decision above
-hiking through terrace after terrace of olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees and grape vines
-spending a morning and afternoon journaling in Vernazza, on a rock, with the Mediterranean Sea crashing around me (the lobster sunburn, not so much a plus, but worth it)
-Genova pesto and Trofie and the sunset
-exploration run from Levanto to Bonassola- through tunnels, glimpses of sea crashing on mountain, climbing huge rocks, and scents and sounds of flowers and ocean
-church in Levanto

Like I said, incredible. Tomorrow I head to the Czech Republic for Czech Trek with DIS, and then am staying in Prague for an extra day to hang out with the lovely and wonderful Dasha :) :) Then home for a quiet Easter.  Basically, it is a sprint from here until home, and Nicaragua!  Off to Bornholm, then Dusseldorf, and then my last weekend in Denmark is here!  Absolutely crazy how this semester has flown...but what an adventure it has been :)
